Mr. Lansana was recently the Interim Programme Manager for the Global Agriculture and Food Security Programme (GAFSP) dealing with small holder farmers; and currently a Senior Research Associate at Center for Economic Research and Capacity Building (CERCB) Sierra Leone. He has extensive experience in Research, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of public and United Nations Development Projects. He has undertaken a couple of research work which include but not limited to: food security and vulnerability assessment in Sierra Leone; Socio-Economic Impact of Ebola Virus Disease, evaluation of educational and United Nations projects in Sierra Leone etc. He has served as a lecturer in Economics at Njala University for more than 15 years. He is currently writing a PhD Thesis on the topic “Climate change and agricultural productivity in Sierra Leone” .Festus has been a speaker in several fora including the strategic dialogue forum organized by ISS/OCP and African Peace and Security Annual Conference (APSACO) in Rabat Morocco.
