Mariam Rakviashvili was born on 6 April 1977 in Tbilisi. She has an academic degree of bachelor with a focus on Architecture and an academic master degree with a focus on International Relations and European Law.
She started her professional career in 2003 and till 2012 worked on the different positions at Russian Federation, Security Policy and Euro-Atlantic Integration, USA, Global and Asia, Africa, Australia and Pacific Rim Departments. From 2009 till 2012 she worked as aDeputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Estonia. Her current position is the Deputy State Minister at the Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
