Objectives

MEDays is primarily a space of dialogue, exchange, consultation and proposition between international decision-makers and major political and economic actors. As a platform for reflection and debate around different global priority issues, the MEDays Forum was put in place in order to contribute to the international debate in a context characterized by the emergence of the South. Beyond this positioning, the MEDays Forum aims at strengthening the brand image of Morocco at the international level, while putting forward the strategic orientations defined by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI. The Forum also plays an important educational role with Moroccan citizens since the Forum is open to the public and welcomes each year around 2500 participants. It is the only Forum in Morocco that welcomes, every year, so many participants from different cities in Morocco and from abroad.

The main objective of the MEDays Forum, through its different editions since its creation in 2008, is the highlight of the Royal Action and Initiatives, both on a national and an international level. The South-South dimension and the South-North relations, as defined by his Majesty the King Mohammed VI, are part of the identity of the Forum.

The choice of the city of Tangier, for each of the MEDays editions since 2008, has been motivated by both the international heritage of the city and the royal initiative to develop the city and the region.
