Far from being a traditional conference, the MEDays format is closer to a TV broadcast debate: speakers do not make presentations, instead they respond to solicitations and enquiries from the moderator. In parallel panels, the format is slightly different as the audience can interact directly with experts on the panel.
The MEDays 2011 edition will bring together a community of over 200 world-class speakers : heads of States and Governments, Ministers, politicians, business leaders, high representatives from international organizations, experts and civil society representatives, in order to generate practical proposals and concrete sector-oriented solutions.
Over 2000 participants are expected at the MEDays 2011 including government policymakers, public administrations, business leaders, researchers and university graduates, representatives of civil society and experts from international organizations. A mobilization strategy for participants was launched to increase the quality and diversity of their profiles and origins.
The 2011 MEDays program includes a Gala Dinner offered to the speakers and the VIP guests intended for the Forum’s Official Opening. Working sessions conclusions from the MEDays will be sanctioned by a closing ceremony where the 2011 Tangier Declaration will be presented to participants.
