For the first time in 2011, the MEDays will launch an international initiative, interlocked with the Forum but with its distinctive agenda. 2010 saw the take off of the Mediterranean Office for Youth ; by reaching maturity, MEDays is concerned with giving more substance to its action, and effectively seeing through effective outcomes to its debates.
The 2011 Tangier Initiative will aim to create an institutional and interstate framework to clean up the Western Mediterranean. The regional institution will need to include all national initiatives, reconcile the different legislative frameworks, and coordinate seaborne operations to rid the Mediterranean Sea of pollution.
