In addition to the standard agenda, a substantial innovation this year will be the MEDays Debates.
4 speakers – 2 vs. 2 – will engage in a lively, time constrained debate on a topical issue. Frequently used in schools and American universities, this debating format will allow to shed some light on a couple of burning regional questions.
3 issues will be addressed in 2011:
- African economic integration: What for?
- Israel, international law, and the multilateral system: Can the Israeli policy change?
- Identity in the West: Is Europe scared of Islam?
